Carol Marcus

Brilliant scientist and noted molecular biologist. Marcus directed the ambitious Project Genesis, which attempted to develop a process to rapidly terraform uninhabitable planets into worlds suitable for humanoid life. Marcus was romantically involved with future Enterprise Captain James T. Kirk in the early 2260s. Their son, David Marcus, became a noted scientist in his own right, although Kirk was not involved in the boy's upbringing at Carol's request.
